Q&A for Luce

I became a Family Nurse Practitioner because I genuinely love helping people stay healthy—not just for today, but for the long run. I enjoy building real relationships with my patients, the kind where you feel comfortable asking questions and being yourself. Healthcare works best when there’s trust, compassion, and maybe even a little laughter along the way.

Think of me as your go-to partner in health. I provide primary care for patients of all ages—diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and helping you stay on track with your health goals. Whether it’s a routine check-up or something that just doesn’t feel right, I’m here to help figure it out with you.

I’ve had the privilege of working as a Registered Nurse for nearly two decades in both the private and public sectors, including with the City and State of New York. My journey has taken me through a wide range of specialties—so I’ve seen a little bit of everything!

My background includes:

  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Staff and Charge Nurse (Level 4, 3b and 2)
  • Neonatal Transport, Nursery, Pediatrics, Pediatric ICU, and Postpartum care
  • Family Medicine and Internal Medicine clinics
  • Specialty areas such as Cardiology (including Interventional and Electrophysiology), Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Infectious Disease, and Endocrinology

I’ve also worked in Telehealth, Case Management, Transplant Coordination,  UAS-NY Assessments (Uniform Assessment Systems for New York), Managed Long Term Care, Assisted Living and community assessments, Maternal-Child Health, Health Coaching, and Home Care.

In short—I’ve worn a lot of hats… and most of them came with scrubs.

I’m certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE, so I’m well-prepared for both everyday care and critical situations.

Because healthcare shouldn’t feel overwhelming. I’m here to help you feel your best while making the process simple, clear, and stress-free. You’ll leave your visit knowing what’s going on and what to do next—no confusion, no guesswork.

I listen—really listen. I answer your questions, explain things clearly, and skip the complicated medical jargon. If something doesn’t make sense, we’ll go over it until it does. Your health, your understanding, your pace.

No surprises here. We’ll talk about your health history, any concerns you have, and what you’d like to achieve. Then we’ll create a plan that actually fits your life—because the best care plans are the ones you can stick to.

I’m a proud member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American Nurses Association.

Outside of work, I’ve been happily married to the love of my life for over 20 years, and we have three amazing kids—two daughters (one in elementary school, one in high school) and a son in college.

We’re big fans of road trips and adventure—so far, we’ve visited 46 U.S. states and are on a mission to complete the map! We’ve also explored several Caribbean islands and European countries.

Basically, if there’s a road, a map, and snacks—we’re in.
